ITINERARY SOUTHERN EXPLORER KL2 | VALL TOURS

Day 1 Saturday: Split - Pučišća (L) D

eparture from Split at 1:00 PM, followed by lunch on board and a swimming stop. Cruise to Pučišća on the northern side of Brač, a typical Mediterranean town at the bottom of a deep bay, known for the white Brač stone used in the construction of Liverpool Cathedral, the White House in Washington, and other notable buildings. There is an option to visit a stonemasonry workshop, one of the few such workshops still operating in Europe. Enjoy local food, wine, and famous olive oil. Overnight in Pučišća harbor.

Day 2 Sunday: Pučišća - Korčula (B, L)

In the early morning, depart for Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop along the way and enjoy a morning swim in the crystal-blue sea. Lunch will be served either at the top of the Pelješac peninsula (near Lovište) or in the quiet Kneža Bay on Korčula Island. Arrive in the afternoon, followed by a guided tour of the exceptional city of Korčula (included in Premium and Premium Superior). According to legend, Korčula was founded by the Trojan hero Antenor in the 12th century BC. Many legends and stories, as well as impressive monuments, can be found here. In the evening, we recommend visiting one of the numerous local taverns or enjoying the beautiful view from the many cafes and bars. Overnight in Korčula.

Day 3 Monday: Korčula - Lastovo (Ubli) (B, L, CD)

Before leaving Korčula, why not take a stroll through the marina or the nearby market to buy souvenirs and other local specialties. Continue cruising towards Lastovo, the most remote inhabited island in Dalmatia (approx. €10.00 – paid on site for entry to Lastovo Nature Park). Dock in Ubli harbor. From there, a local bus or taxi takes you to Lastovo village to visit a local winery and taste indigenous wine varieties. The island is surrounded by many smaller islets, with secluded bays and coves perfect for diving. The town is also known for its series of small churches and unusually shaped chimneys, unique to Lastovo. Overnight at anchor in a bay with a Captain's Dinner on board (included in Premium and Premium Superior package).

Day 4 Tuesday: Lastovo - Ravnik (Green Cave) - Vis (B, L)

In the early morning, depart for the island of Vis, which due to its unique geographical position was a strategic port for the Yugoslav Navy and forbidden to tourists for many years. Vis has retained a special charm that reflects "the Mediterranean as it once was." Near Vis is the islet of Ravnik, home to the interesting Green Cave (entrance fee approx. €10.00). It gets its name from the unusual greenish light reflected in the sea from a hole at the top of the cave. A short swimming stop depending on weather conditions, then continue sailing to Vis town for overnight. Vis developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban center in Croatia, formed by the Greeks in the 4th century BC. Visit the remains of Roman baths, the City Museum, or stroll enjoying the view of the beautiful Villa Rustica located along the coast.

Day 5 Wednesday: Vis – Biševo (Blue Cave) – Stari Grad (B, L)

Early morning cruise to the islet of Biševo, to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon (entrance fee paid on site €18.00 per person). After the Blue Cave, the cruise continues to Stari Grad on Hvar Island. Records confirm that Hvar is the sunniest island in the Adriatic. Free afternoon to explore this unique town and its famous horseshoe-shaped bay. The famous Stari Grad Plain is the oldest in Croatia and the best-preserved example of an ancient Greek agricultural system. Both the old town and this plain are part of UNESCO World Heritage. Overnight in one of Stari Grad's harbors, main or ferry port (2 km distance), depending on availability. Optional guided tour of Stari Grad (included in Premium Superior package).

Day 6 Thursday: Stari Grad - Bol (B, L)

After breakfast, cruise towards the beautiful island of Brač and the famous town of Bol, which has one of the most unusual and photographed beaches in Dalmatia. A swimming stop at Zlatni Rat, a famous beach that shifts from side to side, changing shape according to the wind and wave direction. Bol is a typical fishing village. It has recently become a popular tourist destination but has retained its charm. Stroll along the seaside promenade or cycle along the path. Hike or rent a scooter to visit Vidova Gora (at 778 m, the highest peak on all Adriatic islands) for spectacular views of Bol and beyond, or visit the semi-abandoned village of Murvica. Find a nice tavern or restaurant and taste excellent fresh fish, local wines, and other delicacies of this unique island. Overnight in Bol.

Day 7 Friday: Bol - Split (B, L)

Enjoy the best of the last day by relaxing and swimming in various quiet bays on the island of Brač before arriving in Split in the afternoon. Split is the second largest city in Croatia, a bustling university and maritime center, and the capital of Dalmatia. The historical complex of Split with Diocletian's Palace is under UNESCO protection, and its historical and cultural monuments delight both locals and numerous visitors who fall in love with this beauty over 1000 years old. There is an option to join a guided tour of the old town (included in Premium Superior package) including Diocletian's Palace, built by the Roman emperor as his retirement home.

Day 8 Saturday: Split (B)

After an early breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the crew and all new friends. We hope to see you again on one of our cruises!
