Varaždin Quest

The team-building program is organized within the historic old town of Varaždin. It is intended for middle-aged participants (30 to 60 years old), but can be adapted to other age groups by arrangement.

Participants are divided into teams of up to 6 people, and each team receives tasks to complete. Upon returning to the starting point, teams are awarded points that determine the overall ranking of all participants. All members of the top three teams receive prizes.

All teams have the same tasks, but they start the route in different directions or with a time delay of a few minutes (depending on the number of participants/teams).

Teams are formed according to the client’s preference (in advance—before arrival—or by drawing lots at the starting point). One member of each team must have a camera or a mobile phone with a camera.

Each team receives a map of Varaždin and written instructions. Within the set time limit of 90 minutes, teams must return to the starting point and earn points based on the tasks completed. Each team has a defined start time and a defined return time, and any late return is penalized with 1 negative point for every 3 minutes.

Varaždin Quest can be organized for a smaller or larger number of participants, and pricing is available upon request.

TEAM-BUILDING PACKAGES

The team-building program can be delivered in one of two packages:

Package A – Basic package includes:

€24.00 + VAT per person
10–25 participants

Photo tasks – 20 photo challenges around Varaždin, from the Church of St. Florian to interacting with the “kumica” at the market. Includes riddles and associations. Each task is worth 1 point.
Creative task – 1 task to create a creative piece at a designated location (e.g., a portrait of the city notary). Scored at the mentor’s discretion.
Sports task – 1 task of sports skill (e.g., throwing a frisbee into a basket from 20 m). All team members participate.
Gastronomy task – 1 task involving tasting and identifying local specialties.
Perception and knowledge test – a short quiz about what was seen in Varaždin.

The best team receives a prize.

Package B – Extended package

Includes all activities from Basic Package A, plus:

The additional gastronomy task includes a drink and a cake tasting at the City Café (Gradska kavana).

As an attractive add-on to the program (arranged upon request), well-known costumed Varaždin characters can also be included—the city notary, a “purgar,” and a Baroque lady—adding a special Baroque atmosphere.
