14th Drava Forester: international disc golf tournament on the Drava in Varaždin

From Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, Varaždin hosts the 14th Drava Forester, an international disc golf tournament organised by Lagoda Disc Golf with Vall Tours and supported by the City of Varaždin. Around 80 players from about ten countries are coming to the course by the Drava.

A course along the Drava

The tournament is played on a temporary 18-hole course next to Arena Varaždin, combining open holes along the river with wooded sections; the layout changes a little every year. All tees have artificial turf mats and the baskets are Disc Golf Park (2022 model). If the wind goes above 10 m/s, play may be limited to the open holes for safety.

Wednesday 28 Oct	players gathering and welcome dinner (6:30 pm)
Thursday 29 Oct	course open for practice from 9 am, players meeting and Lagoda team building
Friday 30 Oct	round 1 (10 am, shotgun start), Lagoda Team Game, players party with karaoke
Saturday 31 Oct	round 2, side contests (Park it!, three in a row, King of the Table), group photo by the Drava and Halloween party
Sunday 1 Nov	round 3, FPO final (6 holes, top 4) and MPO final (6 holes, top 5), awards ceremony at around 4 pm

Divisions

MPO – open division, long course
FPO – women, short course
White – mixed, for players rated up to 935
Gold – for players who only play rounds 2 and 3

The tournament is on the PDGA calendar, with live scoring on PDGA Live.

Staying in Varaždin

Vall Tours co-organises the tournament and looks after players' stay. The official hotels are Park Boutique Hotel and Pansion Maltar, with special rates for registered players – the organisers contact everyone after registration. For companions who do not play, or players who want to stay an extra day, we arrange guided tours of Varaždin and food experiences.
